Dorset Arts and Crafts Association
The OBJECTIVES of the Association are:
- To revive and promote the study of handicrafts and to encourage the education of the residents of the County of Dorset in old and modern arts and crafts and industries for their pleasure and personal development.
- To promote co-operation between the various facilities for teaching arts and crafts and industries now carried on in Dorset.
- To hold an annual Exhibition at which exhibits will be judged by competent persons, preferably resident outside the County of Dorset, and, where appropriate, make awards.
Residents of Dorset are invited to join the Association, non residents of Dorset may become Associate Members.
The subscription is £10 for members and associate members and £8 for additional members of the household.
The benefits of Membership and Associate Membership are:
- Free admission to the Exhibition (worth up to £4.00 per visit)
- Two free entries (nos 4 & 5) in the Exhibition (worth £2)
- Reduced entry fee for "Fork and Talk" events
- The Annual Report, Magazine and Schedule mailed to you
- A vote at General Meetings of the Association (not Associates)
- Free advice on practical art or craft problems*
